I graduated from University of Groningen in 2021, with a BA in Arts, Culture and Media (Music, Film, and Cultural Entrepreneurship). My academic research interests surround intersectionality, gender, and sexuality, focusing on how these reflect and are critiqued in popular music. My BA thesis, ‘Take a Byte: Janelle Monáe’s Dystopian Dirty Computer World and the Intersectionality of the Cyborg’, was awarded the IASPM Benelux Thesis of the Year Award in 2021.
After graduation, I started working in PR and Marketing in the European music industry as a freelancer, collaborating with festivals and artists from Sweden, Italy and Romania. Last year I took part in a traineeship at GroupM, a global media agency, and I am currently an Executive Assistant at Global Records, the biggest independent record label in the CEE region.
Additionally, I joined the San Marino’s representative -Piqued Jacks- at the 2023 Eurovision semi-final in Liverpool and managed their Twitter account during their Eurovision campaign.
