COJO (Andrei Ovidiu Cojocaru) is an emerging multidisciplinary artist from Romania — musician, director, and performer — with an authentic and bold artistic vision that blends music, poetry, theater, and visual storytelling. He gained recognition through his direct and emotional language, becoming a distinct voice of the new generation, with a powerful social message about identity, mental health, and collective trauma.
He debuted with the album Abraziv (2020), but solidified his position with “ERUPT” (2025), a conceptual album released with Universal Music Romania, produced alongside iRonic Distors. The album features collaborations with key artists from both the alternative and mainstream scenes (Connect-R, EMAA, Keed, Adrian Naidin, Aylin Cadîr, Dara), as well as renowned stage and film actors (Carmen Tănase, Adrian Titieni), marking a rare fusion between music and dramaturgy.
COJO is known for his cinematic and performative approach, for experimental music videos such as “Dacă știam” — made from 1,921 individual paintings — and for socially impactful artistic initiatives, such as his collaboration with the Blondie Association. With an organically built loyal audience and a genre-defying aesthetic, COJO is quickly becoming one of the most innovative and socially engaged voices on the contemporary music scene in Eastern Europe.
