Jonas Jansson is a music teacher, musician, creator, and lecturer from Sweden, holding a Swedish professional degree in music teaching and a master’s degree in child and youth studies.
He has over 15 years of experience teaching music in Swedish schools and other educational settings, with a focus on relational and project-based learning. At his school, students have the opportunity to play instruments such as piano, guitar, drums, and electric bass, and use digital resources for musical creation, individual learning, and goal achievement. Students’ own creative work and music practice are at the center of the teaching, alongside singing, music theory, music history, and other core aspects of music education.
In addition to his teaching, Jonas is active as a musician and lecturer on music methodology and pedagogical approaches for educational staff. As a guitarist, he has performed in several Swedish folk music projects, including Öschöta Irish, Kongshaug/Jansson Duo, Fredagstrion, and Trio Fri, and regularly performs as a soloist with Swedish folk music as his main repertoire.
Within the NEMT (New European Music Teacher) project, Jonas represents Sweden as a music expert.
