Professional Drummer, Educator, and Entrepreneur

Raluca Pascaru is a professional drummer, educator, and entrepreneur in the Romanian music industry, with over 18 years of live performance experience and 7 years of studio recording experience.

A graduate of The Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE Bucharest), she has built her professional career by combining academic discipline with a lifelong passion for music. She began studying music at Palatul Copiilor Bucharest and later continued her training under the guidance of Marcel Moldovan (educator, live performer, and studio performer), developing her career as a session musician and live performer.

Currently, she is the drummer for the Romanian pop artist AMI.

Throughout her career, she has collaborated with numerous mainstream and independent artists, including Loredana, Keo, Alina Eremia, Sore, Feli, Roxen, Ioana Ignat, Smiley, Antonia, Alex Velea, Holy Molly, Olivia Addams, Corina, Adrian Sînă (Akcent), Dayana, and Yuka. She has performed in concerts, tours, television shows, and live sessions for Romania’s leading radio and television stations, while also collaborating with artists and projects signed to Global Records.

She was a member of the underground bands Changing Skins and Royal Unknown Artist, with whom she toured nationally and internationally and participated in festivals and masterclasses dedicated to drummers. Together with Royal Unknown Artist, she won second place at the American Song Contest in New Orleans, USA, and performed at the international Live at Heart festival in Örebro, Sweden. As a member of Changing Skins, she released two albums, toured extensively, and received media exposure in Romania and abroad, including coverage in The Guardian.

Throughout her career, she has shared the stage with internationally renowned artists such as Ronan Keating, Apocalyptica, Hed PE, Skindred, Rag’n’Bone Man, and Gipsy Kings, and has collaborated with some of Romania’s leading record labels, including Cat Music, HaHaHa Production, Famous Production, Universal Music România, and Global Records.

For 10 years, she served as an official endorser for Istanbul Mehmet Cymbals, representing the brand both in Romania and internationally.

Combining her musical experience with her background in economics and project management, she spent six years contributing to the development of a project dedicated to Romania’s drumming community, coordinating and implementing cultural projects, PR campaigns, and event management initiatives. In 2019, she had the opportunity to spend a day with Jared Falk, CEO of Drumeo, one of the world’s best-known drumming education platforms. This experience provided her with valuable insights into entrepreneurship within the cultural and music education sectors.

Alongside her live and studio career, Raluca is the founder of a private drum school in Bucharest, where she teaches children, teenagers, and adults, contributing to the development of the next generation of musicians and supporting the growth of Romania’s drumming community.
