Founded in 2016 by Pavel Olari, Cosmos în Buzunar is a music project from the Republic of Moldova that explores the boundaries between electronic music, alternative rock, and ambient. The band combines analog synthesizers, acoustic drums, and textured guitars into a cinematic soundscape where melancholy blends with the raw energy of live performance.
Since 2019, the project has been active on stages in Romania and Moldova, performing in prominent venues such as Chișinău Arena and Arenele Romane in Bucharest. Cosmos în Buzunar has appeared at major festivals including Electric Castle, Summer Well, and Waves Vienna, establishing itself as a consistent presence in the East European alternative-electronic scene. Over the years, the band has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Bi2, Splean, Ivan Dorn, and Alternosfera, with whom they also toured.
Currently, the band explores multiple artistic directions, from live electronic and alternative rock to ambient and new media, collaborating with visual artists and interdisciplinary performers. Over time, Cosmos în Buzunar has been actively involved in the local creative community, contributing to initiatives such as Cosmos Factory and Bunker Session, which supported young artists and the underground scene in Moldova. These projects, carried out in collaboration with MediaCor and hosted at Artcor, were produced and curated by Pavel Olari, who continues to develop and connect independent artistic networks in Chișinău.
