Andrei Șelaru, known online as Selly, is a 23-year-old Romanian content creator and entrepreneur. He began producing content on YouTube at the age of eleven, and today, “Selly” boasts the largest entertainment channel on YouTube in Romania, with over 3.5 million subscribers. In 2022, he co-founded BEACH, PLEASE!, the largest urban music festival in Central and Eastern Europe. His company, Selly Media Network, has co-produced 4 out of the top 15 highest-grossing Romanian films of all time, totaling 1.4 million cinema admissions: “Buzz House: The Movie” (2024), “Romina, VTM” (2023), “Tabăra” (2021), and “5Gang: Un altfel de Crăciun” (2019).

A: For me, success means doing something you love and you are passionate about at a level where you are one of the best in the field.

A: Being the co-founder of Beach, Please! Festival is the achievement I am most proud of.
Q: What piece of advice would you give to a young person dreaming of working in the music industry?
A: The most important thing is to actually be passionate about the field you want to be successful in. You can never be the best at something if you don’t actually enjoy doing that thing. So, the first thing is to find something you truly like.
