Cristina Uruc (RO)

Cristina Uruc, Artexim interim manager – the organizer of the George Enescu International Festival and Competition, started her career in the world of organizing concerts, cultural events and shows in 2007 also at ARTEXIM, accumulating over six years of experience in all stages of production and organization of one of the biggest classical music festivals in the world. She was general project manager of the International New Music Week Festival, as well as tour manager of the famous early music ensembles Il Giardino Armonico and Coro e Orchestra Ghislieri. From April 2021 to March 2022, Cristina Uruc was the artistic consultant of the Sibiu State Philharmonic. She studied composition at the National University of Music in Bucharest under the guidance of the composer Livia Teodorescu-Ciocănea (bachelor and master), and in 2019 she was awarded the title of “Doctor in Music” within the same institution under the guidance of Prof. Dr. D.H.C Dan Dedication.
