József Halmen is a Berlin-based booking agent, promoter, festival organizer and music industry professional originally from Transylvania.
Currently he works at F-Cat Productions, an international booking agency representing artists across genres including world music, jazz, soul, alternative pop and contemporary sounds. His work focuses on artist development, international touring and building connections between artists, festivals and venues across Europe.
Before moving more into the industry side, József was active as a touring musician, as well as a DJ and music producer, giving him a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities artists face throughout their careers.
He is also the co-founder of Stairway Booking, an independent agency based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, focusing on artist touring, booking and supporting festivals and cultural projects through various production and consultancy services.
József is part of the founding team and musical curation team of Mumush Festival in Romania, an independent festival built around diverse artistic experiences, community and creative exchange.
