Roxana Luca is a Senior Project Manager, Production Manager, and industry mentor with nearly two decades of experience delivering festivals, concerts, conferences, and large-scale public events across Europe.
She founded *TheABC.ro*, an event production and management company in 2011, where she leads complex productions, stakeholder coordination, strategic planning, and operational delivery, working closely with clients, authorities, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams to bring ambitious projects to life.
Roxana has worked on projects ranging from international festivals and cultural programmes to high-profile public events, including the visit of Pope Francis to Romania and the IMPACT Conference featuring Michelle Obama. Her portfolio includes leadership roles in productions such as Timișoara 2023 – European Capital of Culture, Electric Castle, ARTmania Festival, and numerous international collaborations.
An active advocate for improving standards in the live events industry, Roxana serves on the Steering Committee of the YES Group (Yourope Event Safety Group), contributing to the development of educational programmes and international knowledge exchange on event safety and crowd management. She is a regular speaker at conferences and seminars across Europe and mentors professionals entering the industry.
Since 2025, she has also been a Guest Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University, where she teaches event management and shares practical expertise in production, risk management, and live event operations.
Her work on the Timișoara 2023 – European Capital of Culture opening and closing ceremonies contributed to the project receiving the Event Safety Award at the ESNS Festival Awards in 2025. Her work combines strategic thinking with hands-on operational experience, with a particular focus on creating safer, more resilient, and more collaborative live events.
