Sumit Bothra has worked in the music industry for over 25 years. He is a graduate of the Management & Technology Program of the University of Pennsylvania, where he founded the world’s first Hindi a cappella group Penn Masala. While at university, he began his career promoting artists for Virgin Records of America before moving to London to work for Sony Music as a label-manager and promotions executive.
He became a successful independent artist manager at 24 which led him to eventually become the Managing Director of renowned artist management company ATC Management, where he oversaw the company’s European Management headquarters in London. His work on behalf of his clients has been featured in leading trade publications including Music Week, Billboard, and Music Business Worldwide.
Sumit recently launched his own independent artist management company, SB3 Artist Management, and is a Board Member to both the UK Music Managers Forum and the European Music Managers Alliance. Sumit manages the careers of Katie Melua, Nathan Nicholson, The Boxer Rebellion, and PJ Harvey (whom he co-manages with Brian Message of ATC Management). He is a father to three daughters.
