With a radio career that began in the mid-90s, Valentin Panduru was on the air in various forms, a reporter for Radio Romania Actualitati, studio manager for BBC Romania and Free Europe, and for almost 15 years he has been a producer of programs at RFI Romania. Through his show RFI360, he starts discussions in the studio, looking for guests who can motivate the audience with their initiatives and positive example in the community.
“I think the most important lesson learned in these almost 30 years of radio is the importance of listening. Of course, curiosity, questions, have their importance in the career of a journalist, but the silence of the person you are talking to before answering you, the warmth or harshness of his voice, not least, empathy, all these convey emotion in a dialogue radio. The more alive this dialogue is, the more radio becomes something more than a simple communication tool.”
