Zoli TOTH is a highly respected Romanian artist with over 1,300 stage appearances, constantly pushing boundaries and introducing innovative show concepts. He graduated from the “Gheorghe Dima” Music Academy in Cluj Napoca (2000) with a degree in Percussion and a master’s in cultural management (2002).
His passion for group performance began in 1996 with the Cluj Napoca Percussion Ensemble, leading to concerts and recordings. In 1997, he founded the percussion quartet Hans’n’feet, which evolved into the band SISTEM. Since 2002, SISTEM has released four albums, achieving 11 number-one singles in Romania and placing third in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with Luminița Anghel.
Currently, Zoli focuses on “Better Together,” a complex show blending classical and electronic music with various global rhythms, often accompanied by a string quartet or orchestra. He is the only Romanian pop artist to perform as a soloist at four editions of the George Enescu International Festival.
Over nearly 30 years, Zoli has performed in countries including Singapore, Germany, Hungary, and France. In 2023, he launched BeatAgora, a national alternative music education program aimed at establishing 50 rock, pop, or electro bands in 50 high schools across Romania in five years. The initiative equips schools with instruments and supports music teachers, already benefiting 12 bands and over 6,000 students.
Zoli is also the president of Star Education and a partner at Star Management, collaborating on significant educational projects like Battle of Songs and OnAir Music Awards. Since 2018, he has coordinated percussion ensembles in the Cantus Mundi social integration program, creating the YOUNG – BEATS group. He has hosted the environmental show ECOFRECVENTA on RFI Romania since 2010, providing daily nature protection news and weekly interviews with prominent personalities. Zoli actively supports various initiatives, including Let’s Do It, Romania! and Habitat for Humanity.
