After finishing his music studies at the conservatory of Amsterdam, Ernst worked for a decade at the Dutch PRO Buma/Stemra in various capacities. Ernst joined the Fintage House group in 2000. As Fintage’s EVP for music publishing and neighboring rights he was instrumental in the development of its leading rights administration platform, collecting neighboring rights royalties for many world famous artists.
After the sale of Fintage’s music division to Kobalt Music Ernst established the Zanoise Group to provide bespoke services to music rightsholders, including performing artists.
In his spare time, Ernst is a member of the supervisory board of a famous pipe organ builder and the conductor of an elderly choir.
